Craftsman Tractor Pulley Questions

why does the belt on my lawnmower keep breaking?

I have a Craftsman garden tractor (26 H.P) The belt that goes from the motor to the deck keeps breaking. When I look at it,it shows no sign of wear, it just breaks. This is like 2 times last summer, and this is the 2nd time this summer. Everything seems to be moving freely like the pulleys and the tension springs. Thanks in advance.

The blades and shaft are clean of..rope, wire, rags, vines etc.?

Look at pulley and shaft that’s holding the belt, is it leaning towards the other pulley?….If so, the Bearing is Bad…

Also..Look down the length of the belt, Does it line up the same height as the other pulley, if the pulleys are to far out of alignment , they’ll wear prematurely.

Is anything bent or cracked?
