Are meat eaters wimps?
For 20 years I worked on farms and we routinely killed and slaughtered our own animals.Either shot them, hit them on the head with a heavy hammer ,or cut their throat , I did it , the other guys did it no big deal. I also often took animals to the abattoir and watched as an endless stream of terrified beasts was killed one by one. Sometimes there was a cow or pig that had been unloaded from a truck and had a broken leg, it would flop about in agony for an hour or two until someone had the time to deal with it….. I am a vegetarian now and work as a gardener, from time to time when meat eaters ridicule me I suggest that they just once take responsibility for the consequences of their diet and visit a farm and cut a lambs throat and butcher the animal to get their meat, or at least watch it all being done. So far they have all declined the invitation….. Whats wrong guys no stomach for the reality of where your meat comes from?
I hear what you are saying and if I had to work in one of those jobs you had would probably be a veggie too now.
I do not eat a LOT of meat but I do eat meat a few times a week. I just try not to think about how it arrived jointed on my plate.
