What is the Haitian view of agriculture and farming?
I am taking Geography as one of my courses. I am interested in Haiti. I would appreciate your views on undeveloped farmlands in Haiti. I am searching for more information on the views Haitians have towards farming. I was reading in ‘Time’ that Haitians turn away in disgust at the subject of farming because of their slave history and work at plantations. Thank you for your thoughts.

first off, the soils in Haiti are unsuitable for agriculture due to the mineral and pH levels, secondly, water and technology are inadequate for agriculture. therefore most of these geographical and natural issues hinder agriculture and farming.
